Arranging a Funeral

When arranging the funeral for your loved one, we can agree a suitable date and time to meet you either in the comfort of your own home, or at our funeral home on the outskirts of Bude or Launceston that will offer you, your family or friends some tranquillity and a sense of calm.

We create a natural and comforting environment and are passionate about caring for you and your family during the most difficult of times. From the first point of contact, we will provide continuity and a trusted personal service for you and your family.

When arranging the funeral, we can discuss the many different options available to you, this will ensure we provide a fitting and memorable tribute in accordance with your wishes and those of your loved one.

Types of funeral

On the day, you may wish the funeral to take the form of a more traditional church service that may include the provision of a hearse and limousine, a horse-drawn carriage, or even a vintage motorbike and sidecar.

Increasingly, more and more people are seeking to break from tradition and opt for a colourful funeral to celebrate someone’s life. With lots of personal touches, a celebration of life funeral service provides an alternative and unique way of saying goodbye to a loved one.

We also offer more affordable options such as direct cremation or a simple funeral service. We can discuss these options with you further to ensure you make the right choice for your loved one, family, and friends.

Choosing a coffin

Along with traditional wooden coffins, we offer other options including cardboard with your chosen design printed on the surface, or environmentally friendly materials such as seagrass, wicker, bamboo, banana leaf and other biodegradable materials.

Taking your time

Quite often it can take more than one visit or discussion to arrange the right funeral for your loved one. We fully understand this and recommend taking time to consider our advice and potentially meet again a day or two later so that you can ask further questions, and be comfortable with every aspect and detail we put in place on your behalf.

Following these discussions, we will provide you with a written or emailed ‘confirmation of arrangements’.
This confirmation offers a final opportunity for you to ensure we have correctly understood your requirements, and also provides a summary of the costs involved.
